The Origin
From Chaos to Choreography
QJay started in the back of a favorite local bar. The boots were itching to move, but the booth was struggling. A DJ who didn't know the local dancers meant boredom and frustration. So the crowd improvised — index cards, legal pads, and shouted requests.
Suddenly, the DJ booth looked like a failing Air Traffic Control tower — messy, disorganized, and high-stress. "Modern" fixes like online forms and spreadsheets were clunky and cold.
Beyond the mess there was a social wall: many dancers felt that approaching the booth made them look pushy or needy. They didn't want to interrupt the flow, so they stayed silent — and their boots stayed still… except when leaving.
